As a manufacturer of felt and woolen goods, Gorizont caters both to the everyday needs of Russians and to the souvenir wants of tourists. Everyday goods that the company manufactures include pillows, blankets, mattress pads, children's wraps, shoes, and cradles, orthopaedic rolls and headrests, warming vests, slippers, headwear, bath ware (including some sexy outfits), as well as technical felts and insulation. The company's Russian souvenirs include traditional banya (bathhouse) hats--including women's designs fashioned after national women's headwear--and felt boots and painted valenki (felt shoes without seams) that come packaged in a birch-bark box. Gorizont is also the founder of the Museum of Russian Valenki, next to their central World of Wool store, about ten minutes' walk from Paveletskaya Metro Station.
