For children in Moscow, an outing to the Kremlin is almost part of the school curriculum, and busloads of bored-looking school kids are a common sight in the cathedrals and museums. They tend to get more excited about the vast Tsar Bell and Tsar Cannon and, with a bit of background reading beforehand, it's not difficult to get children interested in the riches of the Armory Museum. The Kremlin's glorious cathedrals are less likely to engage the interest of younger children, but the tombs of the tsars in the Cathedral of the Archangel are an exception, making this the one to visit. The Patriarch's Palace, with its Museum of 17th Century Life, is also worth a visit, especially with older children.
For more information about these buildings and another sightseeings, see the Kremlin section of our sightseeing guide.
