Igor Chapurin is something of a fashion celebrity in Russia and Europe. Having turned down offers to work for Western companies, he stayed in Russia and his varied career, which began in the 90s, has included designing gowns for Russian competitors in international beauty contests (including Miss Universe), showing nostalgically Russian collections in Paris, and designing costumes for key Russian theater productions and Olympic gymnasts. CHAPURING COUTURE includes men's, women's, wedding gown, and children's lines. There is also CHAPURING, a line of haute couture alpine ski clothing. The interior design line, CHAPURINCASE, features furniture, light fixtures, and cat beds. Chapurin has collaborated on various design projects with Swarovski and the Bolshoi Theater; he also did the interior design for Arkady Novikov's restaurant VESNA. Igor Chapurin's style combines streamlined geometric elements with quirky and often luxurious details. Expect prices commensurate with an upscale fashion brand.
